SEM/VAC Rotary Piston Vacuum Pumps belong to the range of positive displacement machinery. The symmetric trilobular pistons turn in the opposite direction without surface contact, synchronised through high precision gears. During the rotation process in the suction phase a space with an increasing volumetric flow capacity is created. In order to maintain the vacuum level and maintain admissible thermal service conditions, the machine has an automatic overpressure valve that allows for the recirculation of air avoiding extreme pressure differences at the core of the pump.
